Nazareth before Christmas

We will begin this wonderful day with a magnificent panorama of the Jezreel Valley, unfolding before us from Mount Tabor (also known as Mount Tavor). After enjoying the views, we will visit the beautiful Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, built by the legendary Antonio Barluzzi, and discuss the amazing phenomenon of the Transfiguration of Jesus.
Next, our path leads us to Nazareth, the third most significant sanctuary of the Christian world, a city where the atmosphere of Christmas is best felt. We will see the largest decorated Christmas tree (adorned with 3,000 balls!!!), visit the Orthodox and Catholic Churches of the Annunciation (with a unique gallery featuring images of the Virgin Mary from various denominations), explore the remarkable Synagogue Church, and pay a visit to St. Joseph's Church. We will also see the White Mosque and Moskovia, stroll through the colorful local market, and if we're lucky, perhaps we can also visit the ancient mysterious underground chamber in the Greek Patriarchate area. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to try traditional pastries like "kataef," the best knafeh, and other Eastern sweets. Also included in our program is the oldest spice shop in Israel – where you can replenish your supplies!
