In the heart of the country, in the Judean Foothills, we enter a separate world - the world of cave cities. The entire region is characterized by landscape diversity and a large number of historical sites. Around the cave cities, you'll find numerous historical monuments: settlements, fortifications, churches, cemeteries, ruins of walls and towers, but everywhere there are artificial caves - large and small, standing alone or grouped into complexes. During our journey, fragments of the millennia-old history of the Holy Land will unfold before you. Our journey includes:
- The ancient city of Maresha, the most important city in the Shephelah region, the city of TANAHA and the Hellenistic era.
- The Columbarium Cave. A huge cave with 2000 niches for breeding pigeons.
- Ancient unique olive presses - 22 oil presses were found in Maresha.
- Phoenician burial caves with original frescoes and mythological animals.
Bell caves.
- The Roman city of Eleutheropolis - Beit Guvrin. Roman amphitheater. Crusader castle of Bet Gibelin and a large church converted by Muslims into a mosque.
The price includes entrance fees and a small picnic! But sandwiches are welcome, as we will only have a late lunch after the end of the tour.
